WHO Global Influenza Preparedness Plan
The WHO global influenza preparedness plan was created to assist WHO Member States and those agencies responsible for public health, medical, and emergency preparedness to respond to threats and occurrences of pandemic influenza. It explains the role of WHO and recommendations for national measures before and during pandemics. This plan revises and replaces the influenza pandemic plan The Role of Who and Guidelines for National and Regional Planning published by WHO in 1999. This document should be used in conjunction with the WHO checklist for influenza pandemic preparedness planning, which provides a checklist for WHO Member states to follow as they prepare for a possible influenza pandemic.
