Pandemic Planning Update III |

On November 13, 2006, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released an updated report on pandemic planning efforts. The report summarizes the status of five priority areas: 1) monitoring and surveillance; 2) developing vaccines and vaccine production capacity; 3) stockpiling antivirals and other countermeasures; 4) coordinating federal, state, and local preparation; and 5) enhancing outreach and communications planning.
