Influenza Pandemic Preparedness Planning – Council conclusions PDF Print E-mail
In June 2004, the Council of the European Union published its conclusions regarding influenza pandemic preparedness. The Council agreed to extend influenza preparedness planning for one year until it could be transferred to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and to assess the need to negotiate with the pharmaceutical industry for the development and purchase of vaccines and anti-virals. Additionally, it called on Member States to stay informed and to continue to prepare. Click here to continue
